O2 ENVIRONMENTAL
O2 Environmental is based in Vancouver, British Columbia and Cork, Ireland. The company has a global network of engineers and scientists with expertise in Clean Tech and environmental technology development. The owner, Paul O’Callaghan M.Sc. has worked on the development and commercialisation of a range of environmental technologies including nutrient recovery processes, ultraviolet disinfection, sludge destruction and energy efficient aeration technologies. Paul has carried out consultancy work for high profile clients such as Noram Engineering, Ostara Nutrient Recovery Technologies, Metro Vancouver, Epcor Water Services and Environment Canada.
Paul holds a Masters Degree in Water Resource Management and has fourteen years experience in water and wastewater treatment and environmental technology development. Paul lectures on Sustainable Energy at the BC Institute of Technology and on Environmental Protection Technology at Kwantlen University Polytechnic., Vancouver. He has authored and presented numerous papers on emerging treatment technologies and is former Chair of a British Columbia technical committee on wastewater treatment.
Paul is a Director with Ionic Water Technologies (IWT) and was recently appointed to the Expert Evaluation Panel for Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) and the BC Innovative Clean Energy (ICE) Fund and represented O2 Environmental at the BC Environmental Technology Summit in Beijing. Paul is an active member of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the International Water Association (IWA).
Being cooperation partners both Hytecon and O2 Environmental will bundle their expertise, knowledge and contact network in order to address specifically the needs of Cleantech customers and funds with tailored products and services.
Dr. KLAUS J. NICK, WATER AGENCY DR. KLAUS J. NICK
HYTECON and Water Agency Dr. Klaus J. Nick, a private consulting business of the chemist Dr. Nick are new cooperation partners effective of 01.05.2008.
The business of Dr. Nick is an wholistic consulting approach with respect to water treatment and analysis with a focus on decentralized concepts. Furthermore Dr. Nick and HYTECON will work together to commercialize an innovative method for arsenic removal on the basis of iron-oxide media widely used for this application at time being. The new process enables significantly longer on duty time spans and as such leads to substantial cost reductions in comparison to the conventional utilization of iron-oxide media.
UWE HOFER, ENVIRONMENT-WATER-ENERGY
Since 01.12.2007 HYTECON and Uwe Hofer, Environment-Water-Energy are cooperation partners. Uwe Hofer works as a technical consultant, he holds an engineering degree in Electrical Engineering with long term experience in the field of water treatment technologies, specifically ozone- and UV-treatment. Previously he was working for ITT WEDECO GmbH in the position of the product development director for many years. His specific technical knowledge and generic process optimization skills in combination with excelent insights into the water business make him an ideal partner for HYTECON to work with.
HAMMANN
Hamman GmbH and HYTECON are cooperating since August 2007. The company was founded by Hans Gerd Hammann to serve today's key business of the company to effectively clean municipal drinking water pipeline systems by means of a patented pulsed cleaning process. Hammann convinced more than 800 municipal customers about this innovative method since then. For more than 2 years the company has also successfully expanded the business into the cleaning of water systems in residential and commercial buildings. HYTECON and Hammann are cooperating in order to transfer the technology into the medical business sector.
FLOWCONCEPT
In the field of high resolution computated simulations HYTECON cooperates with FlowConcept, Hanover effective since 2009. FlowConcept offers consulting services on system analytic, evaluation and optimization on a huge variety of water treatment technologies, such as aeration, membrane technology or UV disinfection. This focus can be therefore ideally combined with HYTECON's spectrum of services.
INSTITUTE OF HYGIENE AND PUBLIC HEALTH
HYTECON GmbH cooperates scientifically with the Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, University of Bonn, headed by Prof. Dr. Martin Exner (Managing Director). The Institute is part of the medical faculty of the Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms University of Bonn and belongs to the medical hospitals of the University.
